Welcome to the Wikikimedia Foundation's announcement board. This is the place to find out what the Wikimedia Foundation is doing. Watch this page to learn about current or upcoming activities taking place around the Wikimedia Foundation's projects.

The Community Department of the Wikimedia Foundation would like to announce that this space is where announcements may go! This page will then be transcluded to User:Mdennis (WMF)/Wikimedia Foundation announcements, which has a permanent header and footer. You'll be able to watch this page to see when it is updated, but should use the discussion page of the announcement board to discuss changes. The Wikimedia Foundation is a non-profit organization that operates Wikipedia, in all of its languages, and a host of other free knowledge projects, including Wiktionary, Wikiquote, Wikibooks, Wikisource, Wikispecies, Wikinews, Wikiversity, Wikimedia Commons and MediaWiki.

This page includes brief announcements from the Wikimedia Foundation about its activities and may contain links to pages containing more in-depth information.

To discuss these announcements with local community members, please access the "discussion" page of the announcement board by using the link at the top of this page.
