October 6, 2024: I'm pretty busy IRL (and football season is on), although I try to spend at least a few minutes each day on Wikipedia. I typically have two days per week where I am too busy. If I have no activity for over one month, something really bad happened.

About me
|
I really have two scars on my face. Interests include sports, glass companies, history, Indiana, Maryland, and the Civil War. I prefer to stay away from Wikipedia articles that could have too much debate, politics, or ulterior motives. I consider Wikipedia a hobby that should be fun and interesting—no stress!
I worked for one summer in the "hot end" of a glass factory. That meant I took orange-hot glassware out of molds and placed it on a glazer, or took hot glass off the glazer and placed it on a lehr for annealing. From my father on back, most of my relatives worked in about every aspect of glass making. The Corning Museum of Glass and Murano are two places I have visited. I have an MBA—the business side of glass companies is interesting as well as the product. My "collection" of glass consists of only two items, a bowl and a jar.
I prefer to focus on the Shenandoah Valley, West Virginia, and Virginia. I know much more about cavalry than infantry. I have a relative who fought in the war, but no family stories. Places I have visited include Antietam, Fort Sumter, Gettysburg, the Stonewall Jackson House, Vicksburg, and Wytheville. My military connection came through Dad—I was born in a U.S. Army hospital.

My entire "real world" career has been in transportation. I am familiar with regulators such as the Surface Transportation Board and Interstate Commerce Commission. I have provided sworn testimony, and written sworn testimony for others.
Yes, there are too many "I"s on this page! ;)
