Hey dude, I recently expanded this section of 2021 North Indian Ocean cyclone season, but am not sure whether it's fully meteorologically correct. If possible can you correct the mistakes done thereΒ ? (if available). Beraniladri19 πŸŒ€πŸŒ€ 16:40, 25 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Beraniladri19 I've fixed some things in there including some tense. Also FYI if you want to make a link lowercase, you don't need to add a full pipe like example, if there aren't any other capital letters within the link like Example Thing One you can just change the first letter to lowercase like example. Akbermamps 04:29, 26 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Ok thanksΒ :-) Beraniladri19 πŸŒ€πŸŒ€ 04:37, 26 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hey, so I'm currently expanding 1968 North Indian Ocean cyclone season with collaboration with User:HurricaneParrot. Becoz of intense pressure from school (i'm in eighth standard) so the work is getting delayed. Plus User:HurricaneParrot is also have to deal with 2020-2021 Taal Volcano eruptions. So....can you help? Btw here's the link ftp://ftp.library.noaa.gov/docs.lib/htdocs/rescue/cd024_pdf/005ED27E.pdf Beraniladri19 πŸŒ€πŸŒ€ 13:02, 14 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Beraniladri19: For some reason I can't open the link and apparently the site is down right now, but I'm willing to help and work on this. Akbermamps 13:31, 14 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
Akbermamps, Ikr, I'm a Chrome user, AND THIS SITE FAIL TO RELOAD WITHOUT GIVING A MESSAGE. One thing you can do is that, copy the link to Internet Explorer and you can open it. I have done it in that way. Beraniladri19 πŸŒ€πŸŒ€ 13:35, 14 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
P.SΒ :- You can download it in your desktop so that you don't have to open Internet Explorer multiple times. Beraniladri19 πŸŒ€πŸŒ€ 13:37, 14 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hey, while editing NATL and EPAC related articles, use this format as per User:CodingCyclone/Citing sources, by LightandDark2000

Beraniladri19 πŸŒ€πŸŒ€ 13:51, 14 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Beraniladri19: I don't think it's necessary to rearrange the parameters in the ref since it still produces the same result no matter the arrangement; plus I mainly use the citation tool at the top of the editing toolbar for adding citations and it formatted the refs that way. "" is a rearranged citation with the parameters jumbled up, yet it still produces [test 1] without any problems. Oh yea true, you have a good point. Sorry, I just got carried away when both have hurricane. It seems likely that they'll upgrade since an eye is popping out, but yea you're right it's best to wait it out CycloneEditor (talk) 08:29, 15 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Akbermamps Brother I Watch your some edit on Wikipedia and I am revert that edit because I respect you and other users and plz you also respect others Matmo-Bulbul is the same storm And you have any question to go LightandDark2000 user talk page he is a senior editor of Wikipedia Plz do not edit it again. Jupiter50 (talk) 15:12, 16 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Jupiter50: The IMD is the RSMC for the NIO, which makes it the authoritative source for storms in the basin. Their annual report states that Bulbul formed from the remnants of Matmo, but they never refer to it as Matmo-Bulbul. As for the changing of links, they should point to Matmo, since that is the storm the article is talking about, not Bulbul. Akbermamps 15:17, 16 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hey man, so I'm currently busy maintaining the 2021 Pacific typhoon season, so can you update the draftΒ ? Beraniladri19 πŸŒ€πŸŒ€ 05:50, 22 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

On 31 July 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Tropical Storm Eliakim, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Tropical Storm Eliakim enhanced rainfall and brought flooding to Kenya despite the storm making landfall on Madagascar? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Tropical Storm Eliakim. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Tropical Storm Eliakim), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

I don't think this edit was necessary, why don't you create another seperate report? Severestorm28 00:25, 16 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Severestorm28: Agh sorry, I ran into an edit conflict and must've accidentally deleted your report when making a new edit. Β Β Self-trout Akbermamps 00:28, 16 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hey mate, long time no see, I just wanna say that can you rewrite the MH of EmnatiΒ ? I can't do that as my final exams are ongoing. Beraniladri19 πŸŒ€πŸŒ€ 13:51, 21 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

My guy, the typhoon Chanba literally went through all those provinces as well as North Korea, how is it "no source" . Also Hong Kong and Macau are special administrative regions they are counted separately, don't remove my edit come on man Keyboard professor (talk) 16:01, 10 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

It actually take times to type this sh*t Keyboard professor (talk) 16:02, 10 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Keyboard professor: Even if the typhoon goes over a specific area, unless there is a source mentioning that that area was affected somehow (fatalities, damage, etc.) then it can't be mentioned per Wikipedia's policies. Adding provinces is unnecessary as general terms like "South China" are good enough. We don't list all 81 provinces of the Philippines when we can just say the storm affected the Philippines.
As for the removal of Hong Kong and Macau, only the Chaba section has a source mentioning that Hong Kong and Macau were affected. That's my bad, but the other sections don't. I hope this clears things up. Akbermamps 17:05, 10 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Dear project member, This message is being sent out to encourage new ideas and feedback on those proposed in regard to the colors debate for WikiProject Weather. For those who are unaware of what's been happening over the last year, I will give a brief summary. We have been discussing proposed changes to the colors of the dots on tropical cyclone maps and templates and infoboxes across the entire weather project in order to solve issues related to the limited contrast between colors for both normal vision as well as the various types of color blindness (MOS:ACCESS). We had partially implemented a proposal earlier this year, however, it was objected to by a number of people and additional issues were presented that made it evident this wasn't the optimal solution. We tried to come up with other solutions to address the issues related to color contrast, however, none of them gained traction and no consensus was generated.

We need your help and I encourage you to propose your own scale and give feedback on those already listed. Keep in mind that we are NOT making a decision on any individual proposal at this time. We are simply allowing people to make proposals and cultivate them given feedback from other project members. Please visit our project page for additional details. The proposal phase will close no later than December 31st at 23:59 UTC. NoahTalk 03:47, 21 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
