Bharati Braille (Q854842) is a national standard unified Braille script to transcribe Indic scripts. The property will be used to transcribe different forms of Indic language lexemes on Wikidata. Bodhisattwa (talk) 06:15, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

- Comment The other Braille property (IPA Braille (P4225)) appears to be used on individual IPA phones, rather than as the equivalent for IPA transcription (P898) in Braille. Would this proposed property be better used on items for individual characters in Indic scripts? (@Tinker Bell, Pigsonthewing, Yair rand, Dhx1, ArthurPSmith: from P4225's proposal.) - I think so, P4225 and this property aren't related. --Tinker Bell ★ ♥ 02:26, 27 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

- @Mahir256: IPA Braille (P4225) I think preceded the existence of lexemes here, so I don't think that restriction is relevant in this context now. However, I think it would be fine to also apply this property to phoneme items assuming that's the way this version of Braille works (as opposed to letter-by-letter transcription?)
