Hi Nimetapoeg: Just in case you'll be doing similarly with other years as you have been with 1904 - or already have done so - letting you know that in the case of 2 educational establishments, you confused the year of disestablishment with the year of establishment. They belonged in Category:Educational institutions disestablished in 1904 not in Category:Educational institutions established in 1904. Yngvadottir (talk) 16:55, 1 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hello,

the several Imperial Russian people categories are highly redundant. Please stop making mass changes, because of the following reasons:

  • First, you have not discussed it anywhere as far as I see
  • Imperial Russia was still Russia, even if two countries temporarily belonged to Russia.
  • We don't have categories on "Nazi German people", etc, despite occupying more countries than Russia.
  • Imperial Russia is simply Russia, and its geography has not significantly changed
  • Citizens of Imperial Russia were called Russians, just as Soviet and modern-day people
  • The categories cause confusion

Those are only a few issues. Regards.--Tomcat (7) 10:58, 18 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello. Please see and consider commenting at the "CfD" for your creation, "Category:19th-century in photography". NB I quite like the idea of the category, my objection is only to its naming. -- Hoary (talk) 03:03, 20 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello! What is a difference betwen men and soldiers? In army lexicon this words are soldiers. It write in template. Is it a mistake, maybe? Senior Strateg (talk) 16:51, 26 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Please explain what you think disestablishment means and how you made the selction that you did for the placement of articels in category:1650s disestablishments in England. -- PBS (talk) 12:33, 14 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Most, almost all, of the articles already had a disestablishment category, so category:1650s disestablishments in England merely provided geographic localization within an extant framework. Nimetapoeg (talk) 16:35, 14 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

The history of the history of the Third Protectorate Parliament show that it was not in a wider category so why did you add it to the category:1650s disestablishments in England? Also why add it to Category:1659 establishments and Category:1659 establishments in England? The Church of England is established by law, how was the Third Protectorate Parliament established and how was it disestablished? -- PBS (talk) 08:53, 17 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Just to let you know I placed Alessandra Giliani in this category which you created. This woman anatomist was born in 1307 - so much earlier than your category stands right now. Maybe you should change it to 19th century or earlier? Ottawahitech (talk) 15:58, 28 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi - I noticed that you moved Saints Chrysanthus and Daria from Category:3rd-century clergy to Category:3rd-century Christian clergy, which does not bother me, I just have a question about the article and other similar legendary stories of saints. As the article says, the Catholic Encyclopedia states that the legend is "without historical value" and a contemporary scholar, Candida Moss, writes that the story "simply could not have happened." Therefore what I wonder is, do these saints belong in categories along with actual historical persons, in the categories 3rd-century births,283 deaths,Married couples,Vestal virgins? There are many such cases of saints who are wholly or partly legendary, I have been trying to re-write some of the articles (such as "Saints Chrysanthus and Daria") to clarify how much, if anything, in these narratives can be considered historical according to reliable sources. I have not meddled with the categories but am uneasy about including these types of semi-fictional "characters" in categories along with actual historical persons. Just wondering what your thoughts are on this matter. Thanks,Smeat75 (talk) 20:18, 30 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi Nimetapoeg. In case you are not aware, there is an upcoming campaign to improve coverage of LGBT-related topics on Wikipedia, culminating with an international edit-a-thon on June 21. See Atlanta's Wikipedia:Meetup/Atlanta/Wiki Loves Pride 2014 for more information. We are expanding the LGBT Atlanta, Georgia pages. This would be a tremendous help to Wikipedia and coverage of LGBT culture and history. Thanks for your consideration, and please let me know if you have any questions! --tdempsey (talk) 06:59, 12 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
