Candidates for Wikimedia NYC Board

edit

Add your name below if you'd like to be a candidate!

I was appointed election officer for this election.

Pre-printed ballots were provided listing everyone who had nominated themselves as candidates before the day of the election. Dues-paying members of Wikimedia NYC were invited to take a ballot. There was an opportunity for those present to pay $5 to become a member. Immediately before the election there was a call for anyone present to nominate themselves as a candidate. Two attendees did this. All candidates were invited to give statements. All candidates were present except Megs and Newyorkbrad, who both sent statements to be presented by other attendees. There was a call for questions or comments. After this, the voting began. When everyone had voted I collected the ballots and counted the votes. All votes came from members in attendance and there were no proxy votes. There were 22 votes. There were members in attendance who were eligible to vote but who declined to do so, and their blank ballots were not counted. All completed ballots were valid. I did not vote myself. The candidates with the most votes were as follows:

These candidates are now board officers of Wikimedia NYC serving a one-year term. There were no objections raised to the election process or to the outcome of the election at the event. Thanks for candidates for volunteer to serve on the board and thanks to everyone who voted. Blue Rasberry (talk) 13:56, 11 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
