- Template:Il (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
As far as I can tell, this template is not being used for its original purpose anywhere. I examined about a third of the transclusions, and most, but not all, appear to be typos for {{ill}}. Sometimes, problems like this are caused by direct copying and pasting from Wikipedias in other languages, but I looked at a few obvious Wikipedias (fr, de, es, it) but did not find a template with this name. I think that this template should be deleted and possibly salted so that this ambiguous two-letter name is not used by accident.
Each of the transclusions of this template, either before or after deletion, will need to be examined and converted to the correct template or wikitext; most, but not all, of them will be {{ill}}. – Jonesey95 (talk) 04:28, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete per nomination. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 23:25, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment/Update: I have fixed all of the transclusions. They were all errors, mostly intended as {{ill}}, but there were a couple of inexplicable ones wrapping math tags and a couple that were intended as File: links. Given that I found at least three different intended uses of this template, I think this needs to be salted due to clear confusion about what these two letters can mean. – Jonesey95 (talk) 15:34, 17 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete and salt Unused template with an unclear purpose and an evidently unclear name. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 02:26, 18 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was no consensus. This was nominated over a month ago and discussion has gone stale. In raw numerical terms, participating editors are divided whether there is use for the template, even after it was updated. The actual policy arguments on both sides are fairly minimal/thin. Given the split here, this is a no consensus close. Lord Roem ~ (talk) 21:18, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Unused sidebar with no documentation or incoming links from discussions. I looked at the main article and was unable to determine what this sidebar might reasonably contain. OK to userfy if it is in development. – Jonesey95 (talk) 00:10, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- @Jonesey95 Hello, sorry about that, I created it and forgot about it. I have added the bulk of content. While there's still a bit more to add it should be up to standard. - GA Melbourne (talk) 00:39, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - since nomination, the template has been populated with content and is now featured on main space articles.- GA Melbourne (talk) 07:22, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep Now that the issues from the nomination have been fixed and are now being used on related articles. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 18:44, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. Consists only of inter-article links or links to articles that barely mention Cain. Just clogging space ITBF (talk) 11:25, 13 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep, one of the longest-serving and most consequential Premiers of Victoria - if this were about a Governor of a US state, this wouldn’t even be up for discussion. For those who criticise it over lack of content, seek to improve upon it and add more content. TheScrubby (talk) 05:46, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- TheScrubby, can you point me to a sidebar for a Governor of a US state? The only ones that I could find were also US Presidential candidates. Thanks! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 18:37, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment: Adding to my previous entry: The template provides users with a snapshot of articles (albeit a limited number of articles) that relate to John Cain II, in particular, the elections he won and his ministry. - GA Melbourne (talk) 06:31, 26 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
