Fichier des décès ID
Originally proposed at Wikidata:Property proposal/Person
Notified participants of WikiProject France MatchID version provides stable URLs, with a distinct formatter URL for each person (obtained by clicking the "lien permanent" [permanent link] button).
Thierry Caro (talk) 16:54, 7 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment the problem is that it's a search query. We have no guarantee that one single item will appear from this URL (and it's difficult to reinforce the fact that all the field should be filled in the search). It's very unfortunate they don't expose a unique ID. --Deansfa (talk) 19:01, 7 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
- Bonjour Deansfa.

OpposeGiven that they don't expose a unique ID, I don't think we should have the property. I find the assumption that those URL are intended to be stable also questionable. Where is such a promise made? ChristianKl ❪✉❫ 16:18, 14 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]- From my Wikidata experience, I'd think even without the place of death, the value would be unique. --- Jura 11:44, 15 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@all (and especially Manu1400 and ChristianKl, that opposed the first proposal version): there are now real IDs. Nomen ad hoc (talk) 12:57, 11 January 2021 (UTC).[reply]

--Manu1400 (talk) 13:22, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]- Ton navigateur est peut-être obsolète, oui ? Pour moi, ça fonctionne parfaitement. Nomen ad hoc (talk) 13:25, 11 January 2021 (UTC).[reply]
- Given that it now has a real ID I withdraw my opposition. I still think it would be nice to have a sentence that would explain what INSEE's 'Fichier des décès' is about in the description. ChristianKl ❪✉❫ 09:54, 14 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

- @Nomen ad hoc, Bouzinac, Jura1, Deansfa, Manu1400, ChristianKl: @Pierre André Leclercq, Thierry Caro: I think there is an error in the descriptions of the property proposed above. I fixed that in the English description on the live property, but it's odd that this wasn't spotted before creating the property. This is not an identifier of INSEE or in the INSEE file. --- Jura 13:27, 14 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
